Places to stay with Hot Tub in Kimberley Alpine Resort

What led to the writing of this article was the experience I had during my outing with my girls to a ski resort over a hot tub. I hope this article will be able to be of help.

I just got back from Skiing in BC with my 2 girls. We had a wonderful time in Kimberley BC. It’s quiet and scenic.  My 2 girls and I went to a ski resort. We rented a unit with 2 bedrooms and a private hot tub. The first night we got in the unit, we were very impressed by how the warm the decor was. Of course, we girls have to use the hot tub. We spend about 1hr playing around. When the night was getting late, I tried to put the cover of the hot tub back on, but no luck; it was too heavy and big for me.

The next day, in the afternoon after a nap. I noticed there was a sign on the tub; “Do not use the hot tub because the tub is contaminated.” I was like “WHAT”—Summary the talk with the front desk. I owned $200.00 for having greywater. They had to empty the tub and place the chemical back to the tub and cannot be used for 24hrs—the reason we contaminated the water was wearing lotion, fragrance, and body odor. On the contact of the unit, you need to shower before you enter the hot tub.

Hot tubs are known to help reduce stress, relax muscles, and facilitate sleep. Used for therapeutic purposes, massage jets will also activate blood circulation and, depending on the power of the

This immersion in hot tub water, also called a spa, exerts effects that correspond to hydrotherapy (therapeutic benefits of water), hydro-massage, and balneotherapy.

The benefits of hydro-massage

As for the water jets, they have to massage properties all over the body or in a targeted manner, depending on the course of the nozzles and their power. They can be used to get rid of muscle tension, relieve the joints of people suffering from osteoarthritis and arthritis (effect reinforced by the feeling of weightlessness), lumbar tensions, back stiffness.

Hydro-massage stimulates blood circulation and facilitates the elimination of toxins.

Balneotherapy would also have an impact on digestive disorders, cellulite, migraines, heavy legs, etc. Without forgetting a firming effect of the tissues and in particular of the skin.

Finally, with family, friends, or team, the hot tub has the advantage of developing conviviality.

The benefits of the hot tub are many thanks to the combined action of water, heat, weightlessness, and the pressure exerted by the massage nozzles:

  • It stimulates circulation.
  • It tones the skin.
  • It aids digestion.
  • It soothes pain: rheumatism, back pain, arthritis.
  • Detoxification of the organism, disappearance of dead skin.

For millennia, humans have used hot water for its therapeutic qualities. The hot bath has been adopted by many cultures and civilizations (Roman, Greek, Turkish, Japanese, Nordic, Egyptian, Indian, etc.).

The hot tub is now recognized for its many benefits. Thanks to its hydro massage nozzles, the hot tub provides precise and effective massages. The combination of heat and massage soothes both body and mind, health, and mind.

The usage of a hot tub is becoming more and more common. There are so many good reasons to have a hot tub. After a long day at work or after a strenuous workout, what could be more enjoyable than relaxing in a hot tub? The hot tub is mainly intended for people tired and stressed by their daily environment. The hot tub provides its users with a dose of well-being and relaxation. As a bonus, the hot tub offers an alternative for people who do not have the time or do not have the opportunity to exercise.

PRECAUTIONS

To avoid any problem with the use of your hot tub, it is advisable to respect specific rules.

Before using your hot tub:

  • Avoid using alcohol and tobacco
  • Avoid drug use
  • Avoid overeating
  • Take off your nicotine patch
  • Avoid shaving the same day (risk of skin irritation)
  • Before using a hot tub, take a light shower in other not to contaminate the water.
  • The spa is not recommended for pregnant women, certain types of diabetes, people with heart conditions, or who suffer from poor blood circulation.
  • Tie your hair when you enter the hot tub: If you have long hair, it is recommended to make a bun or pick it up so as not to leave any residue in the water, which could clog the filter.
  • Clean the filter regularly: The filter is the element that protects the motor of the hot tub so that it does not reach any object that can block or obstruct it.

While using your hot tub:

  • Get out of the water at the first sign of dizziness
  • Remember to hydrate well before
  • Do not heat the water above 40 ° C (for an adult)
  • Do not stay in the water for more than 30 minutes for an adult and not more than 10 minutes for a child or a pregnant woman (water at 32 ° C)

After using your hot tub:

  • Remember to cover your hot tub with a unique cover or a rigid cover especially if your spa is placed outside
  • Regular spa maintenance is essential

What time of day is more suitable to relax in the hot tub?

Once installed, your hot tub contains water throughout the summer season or more. This means that it is hypothetically usable at any time of the day or night. You can opt for a relaxation session in the middle of the morning if you wish. However, the best time remains in the evening to release all tensions accumulated during the day, and this promotes good sleep.

The advantage with the hot tub is that you can use it all year round because the water temperature remains constant, even if your hot tub is installed outdoors. It is obvious that during the winter, your hot tub will consume more energy to maintain the water temperature. It’s up to you to choose the most suitable heating according to the frequency of use and your budget.

Maintaining your hot tub is essential, and the first step to using it properly is to wash it thoroughly before using it and to ask each user to do the same, as this will reduce the risk of contamination of the pool.

Also, do not forget to regularly analyze the water in your hot tub to check its balance between once and twice a week: rebalance it if necessary, with the appropriate products. You should also clean each element of your hot tub as often as possible, not forgetting the filters, which must not clog in any case. Otherwise, the water quality will deteriorate quickly.

Finally, do not forget to cover your hot tub after each use, especially if it is an outdoor hot tub: opt for a cover adapted to the size of your hot tub, it will protect it from impurities.

  1. Little did I know I should indeed not be shaving the same day I use a hot tub! I got such a skin irritation that I still remember it today and this was 2 years ago! Don’t do what I did! The experience was nice and in the moment I was having fun and would do it again. But when the skin irritation started appearing, then I forgot about the fun I’d had. Well, lesson learned. I would actually love to live in Japan where these are so present and people do this almost daily.

  2. I have actually never been in a hot tub but myself and a group of friends are going to be going to Kimberley Alpine Resort late summer and I wanted to see if we would have access to any. I am excited to try one but at the same time nervous that I will get light-headed or something. Is this due to the heat? I have taken baths at home with Epsom salt before and became dizzy, it was very weird so I want to be extra cautious!
